About Kate...

With over 18 years of experience in Sleep Medicine, Kate Banerjee (previously Bridle) is one of a small number of globally certified sleep physiologists combining deep clinical expertise with practical, evidence-based behavioural sleep coaching.

Kate began her career at the renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, home to the UK’s largest Sleep Disorder Centre, where she spent 9 years conducting and analysing complex overnight sleep studies in both adults and children. Working closely alongside consultant physicians, she was responsible for the physiological assessment, detailed data analysis and comprehensive reporting of sleep investigations that informed medical diagnosis and treatment planning.

She later became Lead Sleep Physiologist and Departmental Manager at the Children’s Sleep Disorder Unit at the world-famous Evelina London Children’s Hospital, overseeing paediatric sleep study services and contributing to published research. She has also been invited to speak at international conferences, including at the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine.

In 2015, Kate established and managed the first specialist Sleep Disorder Centre in the Middle East, leading the delivery and analysis of highly specialised diagnostic sleep testing across the UAE, in collaboration with physicians responsible for clinical diagnosis and medical management.

A Global & Cross-Cultural Perspective

Having worked across the UK, Hong Kong, wider Asia and now the Middle East, Kate understands that sleep is deeply influenced by culture, climate, schooling systems, corporate expectations, technology use and family structures.

From high-pressure financial districts in London and Hong Kong to fast-growing corporate environments in the Gulf region, she recognises that sleep challenges are never one-size-fits-all. Her approach is always culturally sensitive, realistic and tailored to the lifestyle demands of the individual, family or organisation she is working with.

Behavioural Sleep Medicine & Personal Coaching

While her early career focused on complex physiological assessment within hospital-based sleep services, Kate increasingly recognised that many persistent sleep difficulties are behavioural, stress-driven or lifestyle-related.

This led her to specialise in Behavioural Sleep Medicine, qualifying as a Certified Sleep Science Coach. Today, through structured, science-based behavioural programmes, she supports adults and children to:

  • Retrain insomnia patterns

  • Reset circadian rhythm disruption

  • Reduce nervous system hyper-arousal

  • Improve sleep consistency

  • Restore energy, clarity and emotional resilience

Alongside her clinical expertise, Kate is known for being warm, approachable and deeply invested in her clients’ progress. She particularly values one-to-one work, building strong, supportive relationships that allow her to understand not just the sleep problem — but the person behind it. Her sessions are collaborative, practical and empowering, helping clients feel both understood and equipped to create sustainable change.

Corporate Sleep & Performance

Through her consultancy NoumZzz, Kate delivers high-impact corporate talks, leadership sessions and structured sleep optimisation programmes designed to improve:

  • Cognitive clarity and executive function

  • Emotional regulation under pressure

  • Burnout prevention

  • Employee engagement

  • Sustainable productivity

Her corporate clients include global organisations such as Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Marriott International. She reframes sleep not as a wellness luxury, but as a strategic biological advantage.

The Meaning Behind NoumZzz

The name NoumZzz reflects Kate’s current base in the Middle East.
“Noum” (نوم) is the Arabic word for sleep — combined with the universal “Zzz” of deep rest.

The name represents her belief that sleep is both universal and deeply personal — influenced by culture, environment and modern lifestyle — yet rooted in shared human biology.
